Sharde Slaw is a rising 3L at the Howard University School of Law, where she has been a Fellow at the Howard University Environmental Justice Center, helping to develop advocacy tools for communities facing exposure to lead and particulate matter and assisting in developing climate justice policies. She earned her B.A. with honors in Political Science from Stetson University. Sharde brings to ELI a passion for environmental justice, diversity, and inclusion.
In addition to her legal studies, Sharde volunteers for voter protection programs and serves on the executive board for the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity Langston Chapter at Howard. Born and raised in Metro Atlanta, prior to law school, Sharde worked as a field organizer for nonprofits and political campaigns throughout the state of Georgia with a focus on racial justice and voting rights issues.
