Dr. Kateryna Polianska
Dr. Kateryna Polianska is a landscape ecologist on the science team at the Kyiv office of Environment People Law, Ukraine’s leading organization working to protect the environment through law. She received her PhD in physical geography on a topic devoted to the preservation of the landscapes of the Desna River Valley in north Ukraine.
Kateryna is working to document the environmental impacts of war, calculate damages, and identify best practices for restoring destroyed ecosystems.
Dr. Polianska is one of five ELAW Fellows who have been jointly funded by multiple funders.
